August is a dead period for football recruiting, a time in which it is impermissible for OU football coaches and staff to have contact with prospect-aged individuals. Therefore, OU Athletics cannot permit prospect aged individuals to attend practices. “Prospect Age” is any child that has started classes for the 9th grade and/or has not exhausted collegiate athletics eligibility.
